Russian nationals living in Enfield to appear in court accused of £2m bank fraud

Two Russian nationals living in Winchmore Hill will appear in court tomorrow (Monday) charged with conspiracy to defraud UK banks of proceeds of more than £2 million.

Vugar Mollachiev, 37 (and Abdurahman Bazaev, 48. of Berkeley Gardens, were charged following a probe by detectives investigating the laundering of money illegally obtained through identity theft using computer software.

The pair will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court accused of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation and money laundering.

They were charged yesterday (Saturday) following their arrest on Friday by the Metropolitan Police’s Falcon Cyber Crime Unit.

Following the arrests officers also seized a number of computers, which will be subject to forensic analysis.
