AN estate agents in Enfield Town was severely damaged after a car ploughed through the front door in the early hours of this morning.
The glass doors, windows and the frontage of Equity Estate Agents were destroyed and the street was sealed off this morning (Monday) as workers tried to clear up the debris and glass.
Police advised drivers to steer clear of the accident site at the corner of Church Street and Sarnesfield Road, near Enfield Town library.
Director of the branch, Panny Ellinas, said: “Obviously it will affect business but we don’t know at this stage how much the repairs will cost.
“I’ve got staff in here now calling around and letting people know what’s happened. We can’t let people in but we’re trying to clear up and carry on working as best we can.
“These things happen. I just hope the driver’s okay.”
Police confirmed that someone had been arrested for a drink driving offence.
